On Friday June 25th the doctors and staff of Advanced Family Eye Care provided free eye care and glasses for an organization called Solace for the Children. This organization brings children from Afghanistan to America for medical treatment not readily available to them in their country. All children receive eye exams, dental exams and routine physical examinations. The services are donated to the organization to help fulfill their mission to “build peace on a foundation of health.” Advanced Family Eye Care was thrilled to participate in this mission. Nine of the twenty children needed glasses and two children were referred for some form of eye surgery.
