Age Related Macular Degeneration

Nearly 15 million Americans have evidence of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), a disease that breaks down the macula on the retina. Early symptoms include blurred or dark central vision, which can be detected early through a comprehensive eye exam. Risk factors: smoking, hypertension, obesity, and family history o...f AMD. Although there is no cure for AMD at this time, certain treatments can slow vision loss.

Khaleda

We're so proud of our doctors, Amanda Barker-Assell and Mike Assell, who have welcomed Khaleda Nader, a 12-year-old Afghan child, into their home to assist her with medical care. They orginially met Khaleda last summer though an organization called Solace for the Children, which brings children from Afghanistan to America for medical treatment not readily available to them in their country. The services are donated to the organization to help fulfill their mission to “build peace on a foundation of health.”

Contest Time!

We divided our office into 2 teams. Each team's objective was to come up with a theme, dress up, and then take a group picture at a location of their choice in the Denver area.
