Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT)

Are your contact lenses drying out during the day? Are they uncomfortable from the pollen build-up? We have the answer for you - Corneal Refractive Therapy, or CRT. Using specially designed oxygen permeable contact lenses, CRT non-surgically reshapes your cornea while you sleep. When you remove the lenses in the morning, you are able to see throughout the day without any other correction (this may take several nights of wear). Once optimal vision has been obtained initially, some patients only need to wear the lenses every other night. If you stop wearing the CRT contact lenses, your vision will gradually return to its original state. The CRT contact lenses are designed for individuals with low to moderate levels of nearsightedness (up to approximately -4.00 diopters) with or without mild astigmatism. There are no age restrictions. Ask us about Corneal Refractive Therapy, or CRT, at your next eye exam. -Ashley Perry, Optometric Technician
